" THE INFO ( read it and weep. ) So to break it down simply for you beautiful people, this is a writing contest that will give you guys a few choices. The first choice is the main idea of the story. We as a whole have decided that you can choose from two ideas to begin. The first one main idea is that you are a zombie trying to kill one of your characters. This can be in first person, third, or even second if you can do it well. The other main idea is that your character is a zombie. After you decide which one you like better, move onto the length. We have two choices. The first being a short story. This can vary in length, but must be no longer than 600 words. So kind of like a post, but you must have a rise, climax, fall, etc. Or at least something of the sort. I do not want a post-esque type story. This is sort of like a fanfic. Make it interesting. The second is a full story, which can be anything longer than 600 words, but must be no longer than 2000 words. Once you decide the length, you can pick a genre. Honestly, it can be anything, but please specify. If it is comedy, we will expect it to be funny. If it is comedy and it turns out to be more like suspense, then please do not say it is comedy. That's like false advertisement. Some examples of genres would be as listed: Adventure Horror Suspense Thriller Comedy Romance Western I would like for you to please avoid things like Erotica, because they are not appropriate according to Proboards TOS and we don't need to get into trouble with them. Besides, zombie erotica is kinda sketchy and creepy. Just sayin'. Note that you do not have to use these genres, you can pick your own, but make sure it fits the story you are writing. So now that info is cleared up...Onto setting. The setting is kind of important for the story, and we would like to give you the freedom to decide where your character/zombie is. So long as it is a place on Earth, then go for it. Not under the ocean, not in space, on land, on Earth. Thanks. WE ARE SO JUDGING YOU ( so get over it. ) Yes, you heard right, you are being judged for your writing. I mean, this is a contest after all, so why the fuck wouldn't we be? You will be judged based upon the following things: spelling && grammar: this is simple enough, basically if there are little to no grammar and spelling errors, your score will be higher. level of interest: if it's interesting, you'll get points; boringness will mean none. follows main idea: if it sticks to the main idea you chose, you'll get points. if you go off track, then you don't get any. story development: did your characters grow through the story and was there a plot structure? That's four categories to be judged in. Each category is worth five points. They will be added up to a total. Each admin and mod is a judge. They each will vote for the writings provided and give a final score. Kat - me - will add the individual scores up for the writings and add them together. That will be the final score for your writing. Whomever has the highest score is the winner. But don't let that discourage you, there will be prizes for each participant. MOFO PRIZES, BITCH ( check it, son. ) There will be three big winners, two honorable winners, and everyone else will get a door prize. first place: a mofo armored vehicle of your choice. (do not go overboard, there are restrictions.) this will allow you to travel better and your chances of a zombie attack are slimer. second place: you get either a flamethrower with 10 units of fuel or a grenade launcher with 10 rounds. third place: you can choose either a weapon upgrade or you can have two firearms from the shop.
